While we would love to take credit for the concept of replacing “candy cane” septic venting with flagpoles, that credit must go to Rafe Longver, who came to PLP because of our reputation and success with with composite materials in tubular products. After a few short weeks, we began working on our first iteration venting options for our pole, after initial sample products and testing, we arrived at a unique solution – rather than holes in the pole itself, we designed a “truck”, the component at the top of the pole for managing the halyard and mounting the gold ball finial, that would allow air to move freely through the pole. Invisible to the naked eye, this solution allows homeowners and businesses to now rid their properties of the ugly PVC candy cane and replace it with an element of pride. Similar solutions have now been designed into our other products allowing variety of choice. Welcome to BellaVent.
